HR Generalist at the Supreme Court
The main task of the Supreme Court is to lead the application of law through guiding decisions. The Supreme Court is the final instance for civil cases, criminal cases, and matters decided by the Court of Appeal. In addition to its main task as a precedent court, the Supreme Court also examines cases regarding retrial, judicial error, and restoration of lost time, as well as matters concerning requests for extradition from other states and certain matters related to lawyers.
The Court's goal is to be a modern and attractive workplace with a particular focus on meaningful and developing tasks, individually tailored competence development, great opportunities to influence routines and work methods, as well as engaging and developing leadership. The Court actively works with business development. The goal is for employees to be involved and active in the development work.
Approximately 100 people work at the Supreme Court, of which 16 are judges (justices). The Supreme Court is organized into two adjudicative departments and an administrative unit, which consists of two preparation units and an administrative unit with a registrar's office and archive, as well as other administrative functions.
Job Responsibilities
As an HR Generalist, you belong to the administrative unit and have many varied tasks. A large part of the work involves ongoing personnel and payroll administration as well as handling employment matters. You will have contact with all professional categories at the court by being helpful, answering questions, and providing information. You support managers in HR matters, participate in the introduction of new employees, and conduct exit interviews. In connection with recruitments, you are responsible for administration, assist with reference checks, and request background checks. You work with case management in W3D3, manage physical personnel files, and respond to requests for the release of public documents within the HR area. Annually, you conduct a salary survey and coordinate a safety round at the court. We encourage you to take the initiative in designing and continuously updating routines and policies within your area of work and to be interested in workplace environment issues. Other tasks may occur as needed, such as travel bookings and assisting with financial administration.
As the court's HR Generalist, you have close cooperation with the court's managers, the administrative officer, and the administrative prosecutors. Additionally, you have daily contact with employees in various functions at the workplace. You maintain ongoing contact with the HR function at the Courts Administration and counterparts at other courts.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an academic degree in human resources or equivalent vocational training. It is advantageous if you have experience in administrative work within public administration and if you have worked with the HR and payroll system HRM.
As a person, you enjoy working independently. You have a pronounced sense of service and administration. You are used to working meticulously, structured, and prioritizing your work effectively. You are solution-oriented, flexible, and have a high ability to take initiative. It is important that you have a holistic perspective on the organization.
To thrive as an HR Generalist, you are unpretentious and easily build good relationships with your colleagues. You contribute to a good working environment. To perform the tasks well, you need to have a very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish, as well as a good command of English. You are an experienced computer user, have good knowledge of the Office suite, and find it easy to learn and work with various IT support systems.

The position is a permanent employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. Individual salary setting applies. Start date as soon as possible.
